Drama Comes in All Lengths & Sizes
My work is a study of contrasts – the architectural drama of bold lines meeting the radiant glamor of precious gems. One of my recent projects really embodies this design principle – 4” long dramatic earrings heightened by my client’s short hair.
"I’ve long been a jewelry enthusiast of Victorian, Georgian, and Deco period jewelry. But when I decided to indulge in some new earrings, I turned to my long-time friend and jewelry designer Claudia Endler to create something just for me. As a former designer, I brought my ideas to the table and Claudia interpreted them into a stunning pair of earrings.”

When I sat down with Kristin we talked about her vision and I took custom measurements to tailor the length exactly to both her gracefully long neck and pert A-line cut. I U-pave set the tsavorite garnets for maximum impact in sterling silver to give them a bright pop as they peek out from a sandpaper finish that makes them glow even more. The high polished sides intentionally add a flash brilliance when in motion. Details matter, especially in the simplest of designs because everything is visible. Elegance and boldness – in harmony for an exquisite effect.
