“Fly me to the moon…let me play among the stars…”
“Old blue eyes. I remember hearing the song come on the radio and the sound of my father’s voice singing along with Sinatra. Even today, the melody transports me to another time when wonder and possibility were the tenor of all my waking moments.”
-Claudia Endler
Our recent trip to Cape Canaveral had a similar effect on me – in the presence of so much bold human achievement, I felt dwarfed by the scale and sheer volume of history inside of the Kennedy Space Center. It’s one thing to see a space launch on a screen, but truly nothing compares to seeing these elegant machines up close in person.
As we wandered the exhibits, my mind traveled over all the testing, inventing, and collaborating that so many determined humans committed themselves to in order to make space travel and landing on the moon a reality. What can be more thrilling and inspiring than achieving the impossible?
I suppose the little girl in me has always been looking to the stars and wondering. So many of my pieces are influenced by those celestial beings and forces that remain only within the grasp of my imagination. As I walked through the center I whispered a small prayer to harness the power I felt within its halls…
May I always have the curiosity, courage, and boldness to reach for the stars, like those before me have done.
If you want to wear some star power, get in touch! I’d love to create something heavenly just for you.
