Well color me electrified!
For the first time in history, a new category for “Outstanding Costumes - Head of Workroom” has been added to the annual Emmy Awards, recognizing the contribution of Custom Made Costumers.
Not only am I excited for this recognition of creativity in costume making, but I am thrilled to also share that my dear friend and client Rory Cunningham was one of the new category’s nominees for his work with costume designer Kathleen Felix-Hagar on the series “Hack’s”.
An industry veteran, Rory has spent decades bringing incredible costumes to life for superheroes like Superman and Black Panther, villains like Ursula (who needed dancing octopus tendrils on stage no less) and simply gorgeous gowns – like the wedding dress he designed for me!
Imagine my delight when I saw that Rory and his husband, David – both long-time CED collectors – proudly rocked their CED bling on the Emmy red carpet!
