Bold in Gold
I love gold for its raw beauty (have you ever seen a true gold nugget?), its boldness, and the way it glows onto everything around it.
Gold is recognized as the oldest precious metal known to humankind. We have evidence of it being worked with from as early as 3,000 BC in Sumer. The Incas used it extensively and called it the “tears of the sun”. Today, all around the globe, it defines wealth and luxury in the form of jewelry, art, currency, and more. There is so much history, myth, and meaning associated with this metal that it has become legend. This magic is one of the many reasons we are drawn to it.
Today it reminds me of the new season upon us – The soft gold light of a fading fall afternoon. The leaves crisping from lush green to warm jewel tones before fluttering to the ground in pale yellow. The golden glow of candlelight.
With warmth in my heart I wish you a happy Fall Equinox. May you stoke the fire burning within and shine for all the world to see.
