The Rise of Divorce Rings

HONORING ENDINGS, CELEBRATING SELF-LOVE & FINDING YOUR POWER

Repurposed Diamonds

I’ve always felt that each of life’s challenges is an opportunity for personal growth. The places where we are stretched beyond what we know to be possible always reveal something new.

Lately I’ve been watching a jewelry trend that speaks to this kind of resilience. After a divorce, there’s always a dilemma – what to do with your engagement ring and wedding band?

Rather than sell or hide them away, consider upcycling your stones and metals to create something new. Enter the Divorce Ring Era. I’m tickled by this trend because I did something similar many moons ago.

When I was just beginning my jewelry design career, I went through the dissolution of my first marriage. As one door was closing, another was opening, and I saw an opportunity to create something that marked this profound passage.

Repurposing the diamond from my engagement ring into a pendant, I transformed what had been a symbol of that union into a powerful reflection of who I had become and where I had found myself in a new chapter of life.

Over the years I’ve worked with many clients to upcycle their pieces as a way of celebrating their personal growth or honoring the memory of their loved ones. The value of this kind of custom design is priceless – rather than leaving something unworn in a drawer, its transformation becomes an act of love, a reclamation of power, a declaration of self.

Do you have something hidden away that’s ready for new life? I’d love to help you explore creating your own Divorce Ring or Pendant as a way to celebrate the resilience that has brought you to where you are now.

Let’s explore the possibilities together!

xoxo
