Women’s Strength & Power

We all know women who champion other women. They lift us up, encourage us, celebrate us. We need them! Witnessing women’s strength reminds me that I, too, possess resilience, strength and power. And in this way, they inspire me to be my very own champion. 

Years ago, I had an idea. I wanted to design a piece that spoke to my inner power, to be a talisman to help me remember, even when I doubted, that I was strong enough to continue forward. I created a ring, the first piece in a series I’d come to call the Power Series.

The Power Ring is a symbolic design inspired by the idea of looking inward, the notion that what a person needs is already inside of them. The stone is set uncharacteristically deep inside its domed core, not immediately visible. The intense sparkle, reflecting on the mirrored walls around it, reveals rays of light, amplifying the scintillation. It radiates from within.

There is something that drives us and moves us. Sometimes it is not always visible to the outside world. Sometimes it is not even visible to ourselves. Sometimes we have to dig deep to find it. When we do, the light is so bright, it expands our perception of what is possible. We become more powerful.

Now with each passing year I try to live into my felt sense of power as it deepens and grows. And after originally creating this design for myself, I knew I needed to share it. The Power Series and the idea behind it has become a foundational aspect of my work – helping others to see their own power and reflect on their own journeys.
