Emerald is May’s birthstone, their juicy greens come in many shades, sparking to life when illuminated. A member of the Beryl family, they are a rare gem, found in just a handful of countries around the world. Ranging from green-yellow to green-blue, the latter is the rarest and most valuable. For centuries, their rich glow has captivated across cultures.
Drama Comes in All Lengths & Sizes
My work is a study of contrasts – the architectural drama of bold lines meeting the radiant glamor of precious gems. These 4” column drop earrings with green tsavorite garnets in sterling silver embodies this design principle.
The Gifts of Past, Present & Future
Working on this project feels to me like looking through time – and, as is so often the case, allows me to see parts of my own life and experience that I might not explore without its unique inspiration.
