Fruits of Labor
I’m lucky that my work is also my passion. Communicating and connecting with others throughout my creative process is a gift that never ceases to keep giving.

The CED Process
Repurposing is often an emotional and nostalgic process, so as with all of my projects, we start by establishing connection – between me and the client, the client and their materials, the intention and the new piece.

How to Accessorize for Summer Nights Out
I LOVE summer nights in L.A. There’s always so much to do and the weather is usually quite accommodating. I love the process of getting ready – deciding what to wear and how to style it. I don’t wear a lot of patterns, but I love styles with different textures and unique cuts.

Father’s Day 2019 | Staying Playful
My father was a toolmaker. Trained in Germany when CAD, computer-aided design, was in the distant future, he made giant aluminum molds that were tetrised together, fitting so tightly another tool was needed to pull them apart. So you can imagine his precision and eye for detail. Thank you, Dad, for passing these traits along to me!

Spring Cleaning & Forgotten Baubles
It’s almost summer but better late than never on my spring cleaning this year. Last month, I went through my mother’s jewelry box and it made me realize I needed to go through my own.

My Mother’s Jewelry Box
My mother is a huge jewelry fan and lover of beautiful things. When I was a child, I would try on her jewelry and makeup to pretend I was grown up enough to wear these treasures.

Inspiring Awe and Wonder
At the end of our last message, The Rainbow Connection, I posed a question: “What makes you stop in wonder and awe? I’d love to hear how you take time to appreciate those fleeting moments that mark our lives with magic.” I wanted to share them with you…

The Rainbow Connection
What is it about a rainbow that stops us dead in our tracks? Is it the sheer wonder of seeing something so ephemeral? Is it the very scientific collision of light and dark and atmosphere that produces something so magical?

Dwelling with Intention
For the last few years, I have been cultivating more intention in all aspects of my life, including my work. I’ve always believed deeply in the power of adornment and the meaning we can create with precious possessions, but not that long ago, I started to open up to other ways of helping people create meaning in their lives.

Challenge: Cultivating Playful Creativity
I started experimenting with practices that are out of the ordinary for me to help refresh and cultivate my creativity. And then I thought, wouldn’t it be fantastic if you all joined me?

Playful Creativity
Do you ever feel like there are too many choices? Our vision is to make space for rest, for silence, being present, for the unexpected, and for replenishing imagination to encourage more playful creativity.

I Love You
This day is about more than treats and gifts. It’s about sharing love. When was the last time you said, “I love you,” to someone? Actually, when was the last time you looked in the mirror and said, “I love you”?

Keep the Light Shining: Year-End Reflections
We are not alone. It takes combination of inner reflection as well as connection to others that helps me see the rainbow and keep the light shining…

Winter is Coming
Out come the blankets in our drafty loft. Time to curl up and cocoon. December days will soon bring us to the winter solstice, where the darkness will start to wane and the days will get longer. As the world keeps spinning, light will again prevail.

Realizing Abundance through Less
What if abundance actually came from less? Less work, less social media, less distractions, less clutter, less worry. What if we made room for more? More time to be present, more space for creativity, more peace, more quality time with the people I love.

The Simple Brilliance of Stepping Outside
Feeling the acceleration of time… Desperately wanting to slow down the pace… Wanting to press reset …. I stepped outside….

Clients I’ve Loved Working with in 2018
Sharing some time and space with clients I work with is a very personal and wonderful experience. Here are a few stories that were inspiring this year.

I Planted the Seeds, This is What I Grew
You work all the time – toiling and planting. When do you get to reap what you sow? This vacation was my reaping. I planted the seeds, this is what I grew.

Gone on Holiday
So many countries close their shops to take a holiday. The US is one of the few countries so bent on productivity, we can often times forget to enjoy the spoils of our toils. Well, enough of that! Ren and I are taking a holiday!
